Sectors is an AUv3 surround panner for quadraphonic speaker setups on iPad
Designed for composers, sound artists, performers and installation artists, sectors lets you position and automate sound in a four-speaker environment with an intuitive X-Y pad. You can use Orbit to spin the sound around the room, Random to make it jump between four speakers or Trace to capture your movement on the X-Y pad and loop it.
X-Y Pad
Place sound anywhere in the room with a touch. Drag the puck across the pad to smoothly position sound anywhere in your quadraphonic space.
Spread
Control how tightly sound gathers around the puck’s position. Wide open, the field blends smoothly across all four speakers. Dial it in for a precise, localized point.
Orbit
Sweeps the sound around your speakers on a true circular path, change the speed using the rate knob, or sync it to your host.
Random
Lets the sound drift and jump around the space on its own, creating movement that never repeats itself
Trace
Record your movement across the pad in real time and loop it back exactly as performed. Sync playback to the host tempo or let it run freely.
Please note: Sector is an AUv3 plugin and requires host app like AUM to function as intended. For quadraphonic output you will need an audio interface with 4 outputs.
