TRIO consolidates 15 distinct lofi effects, including bitcrush, tape wow, vinyl noise, valve warmth, reverb, stutter, chorus, granular dust, filter sweeps, and delay, all within a single interface designed for genres like lofi hip-hop, chillhop, and ambient.
The plugin operates with all three of its effect pages running in series and simultaneously, allowing users to apply multiple processing stages like crushing, wobbling, chorusing, delaying, and mastering in a single pass without compromising performance.
TRIO features hand-coded DSP effects, each with individual mix and bypass controls, ensuring that switching off an effect genuinely stops its processing and conserves CPU resources, unlike plugins that fake bypass functions.
Unique features include noise generators (Vinyl and Dust) that are gated by an envelope follower of the audio signal, making the noise dynamically respond to playback rather than running constantly, and a Juno-style chorus modeled on classic 80s synths for a warm, vintage sound.
The plugin offers 100 presets organized into nine folders, a hand-drawn interface with both light and dark modes, and includes a built-in mastering bus with tape saturation, EQ, compression, and width control.
