When it comes to processing vocals, producers usually find themselves juggling multiple plugins: a dedicated pitch corrector, a harmonizer, a vocal doubler, and a web of modulation effects to add movement.

Klevgrand are known for their intuitive, clean design philosophy—aims to streamline this entire workflow with Altitude, a comprehensive real-time vocal performance station designed for studio producers and live performers alike.

Altitude isn’t just another subtle pitch-correction tool or an aggressive hard-tuning effect—it combines both ends of the spectrum into a single ecosystem. At its core, Altitude acts as a central hub for pitch manipulation, dynamic harmonization, MIDI control, and sound design.

Whether you need invisible, transparent tuning on a delicate acoustic ballad or dynamic, robotic vocoder-style voicings for modern pop, Altitude provides a zero-latency engine built for real-time tracking and stage performance.

Altitude breaks vocal processing down into four distinct, flexible modules:

1. The Lead Module (Pitch Correction & Formant Control)

At the foundation of Altitude sits a low-latency, formant-aware pitch correction engine.

  • Transparent to Hard-Tune: Dial in gentle tuning for natural studio takes, or max out the correction speed for hard-tuned pop effects.
  • Formant & Width Tools: Includes double-mode voicing options, stereo widening, and formant shifting without altering pitch.

2. The Smart Harmonizer

Generating up to three additional harmony voices, this module automatically maps to your target key using smart scale logic.

  • Humanization Controls: Includes dedicated per-voice vibrato, humanizers, and auto-formant adjustment so background voicings don’t sound stiff or artificial.
  • Built-in Stereo Spread: Features dual doubler modes and width controls for blending rich backings directly inside the plugin.

3. The Play Module (MIDI Integration)

One of Altitude’s standout features is turning vocal audio into a live, playable instrument.

  • Connect a MIDI controller or program notes in your DAW to trigger melodies, custom chords, and complex vocal arrangements on the fly.
  • Features adjustable Attack and Release controls to shape how incoming vocal phrases respond to keystrokes.

4. Deep Modulation Matrix

For sound designers and electronic producers, Altitude steps beyond pitch correction into creative manipulation:

  • 3 Independent Modulators: Assign LFOs or custom 16-step sequencers to control up to 8 parameters each (including pitch, formants, pan, volume, and stereo width).
  • DAW-Synced or Free-Running: Draw custom modulation curves to add continuous micro-pitch variations, rhythmic chopping, or spatial movement.
