UVI have released Thorus XT, available at the intro price of $49.00, increasing to $79.00 after the promotion.
UVI’s best-selling chorus plugin, Thorus XT offers a new approach by combining a pristine digital chorus engine with an analog circuit-modeled bucket-brigade (BBD) engine, allowing users to explore a wide spectrum of sounds from brilliant shimmer to grainy vintage modulation.
Both the digital and analog engines share a unified 8-voice architecture and control set, enabling users to set modulation once and switch between engines to hear identical movement through distinct sonic paths, choosing the one that best suits the material.
The digital engine provides clean, precise, and transparent chorus with continuously variable voice count and an optional band-limited sample-rate reducer for a lo-fi edge, while the analog engine emulates classic bucket-brigade chips, offering natural imperfections like aliasing, resonance, and compression that can be shaped.
Thorus XT exposes the analog circuit’s parameters, including aliasing, stability, and companding, allowing for detailed shaping of the hardware’s natural characteristics, presenting a full-spectrum chorus experience with deep control over both modern digital and warm analog sounds.
