Based on the Friedman SS100 V2 Steve Stevens Signature*, this amplifier is an upgraded version with a very Plexi like tone, but with more gain without sacrificing definition.
The SS channel delivers the classic crunch sound you might associate with his Billy Idol era, while the SS+ offers a more modern tone that is more prominent in his solo career.
