Overloud have released Made In Rock Dark 50, available at the intro price of €39.00, increasing to €59.00 after the promotion. Desktop owners can also receive Made In Rock Dark 50 through TH-U iOS for $1.00 via an in-app purchase.
The THU Made In Rock DARK 50 is a plug-in featuring an accurate emulation of the JMP50 head, originally owned by Dan Hawkins of The Darkness, and used on their albums and tours.
This amplifier model is part of the Made In Rock private collection, which preserves gear from legendary artists like Jimmy Page and Black Sabbath, utilizing Overloud’s Fluid Capturing technology for detailed sound preservation.
The plug-in includes an emulation of a matched 4×12″ cabinet with Celestion G12T-75W speakers, known for their deep low-end and aggressive top-end, captured with high-resolution IRs and allowing for 3D microphone positioning.
It functions as both a THU expansion pack and a standalone plugin, offering features like the Rig Player, Amp Tweaks, Tuner, and Looper, and can be purchased with or without a pre-existing THU license.
The DARK 50 head features two input channels, Channel 1 being brighter and crunchier, and Channel 2 richer in low frequencies and slightly fuzzier, with the option to jumper both channels for a blended tone.

Made In Rock Dark 50 is available to PC, Mac and iOS users (VST, AU, AAX, AUv3 and standalone).
