If you have ever felt trapped by conventional arpeggiators—endlessly looping basic up/down/random octave jumps—Fanan Team’s Domina offers a fresh approach to MIDI generation.
Unlike traditional arpeggiators or static preset libraries, Domina is a seeded MIDI composition engine. It makes no sound on its own; instead, it generates complex, human-like MIDI patterns to drive your favorite VST synth, sampler, or hardware gear.
At the core of Domina is a six-digit seed system. Typing in a number generates a full musical phrase complete with note lengths, rests, ties, metric accents, and natural melodic leaps.
- Infinite Recall Without Presets: Enter the exact same six-digit number on any computer running Domina, and it reconstructs the identical phrase down to every detail.
- Three Independent Random Streams: Domina splits generation into separate streams for musical form, rhythm, and pitch. If you find a melodic contour you love but want a different groove, you can tweak the rhythm controls without altering the underlying melody.
- Chord-Responsive: Feed Domina a single note or an entire chord, and it automatically transposes and maps the seed-generated phrase to match your harmonic progression.
