Tiefkraft is a virtual bass guitar collection offering the sounds of eight meticulously sampled bass guitars within a single, unified software suite.
This collection features six classic 4- and 5-string basses, each with a distinctive character due to variations in tonewoods, pickup configurations, and construction, providing a broad range of traditional bass tones.
Two unique 8-string basses are included, which feature paired strings played together to create a rich, layered sound spanning two octaves, a tone famously used by artists like John Paul Jones and Mike Rutherford.
The plugin boasts authentic bass sounds with lossless compression, an extended range from A0 to G4, and flexible pickup options including neck, bridge, humbucker, and single coil variations with both clean DI and processed amped outputs.
Key features for realistic performances include multiple velocity layers, round-robin sampling for a natural feel, and versatile articulations such as fingerstyle, pick, slapping, tapping, and slides, all controllable via key switches and automation parameters.
The collection includes specific models like the Sandberg Panther Special 5 Thuya, Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor RW, BassLine Buster CW4, two BassLine Buster Std8 models, ESP LTD B-404, and two ESP E-II BTL models, each with unique specifications and tonal qualities.
