Orra Audio have released Orra Filter, available at the intro price of $29.00, increasing to $49.00 after fhe promotion. The offer ends October 8th.
Eight circuits in two cells, routed six ways. Moved by four LFOs, an envelope follower, a sequencer, an ADSR, MIDI velocity, the tracked pitch of the audio, four macros, and other tracks over Orra Link, routed to any cutoff, resonance, drive or morph. Make a route from the matrix tab, by dragging a source onto a knob, or from a knob’s right-click menu.
Filter 1 and Filter 2 are independent. Each has its own circuit, type, slope, cutoff, resonance and drive, and each can be switched off without leaving the routing. The selector decides how they meet: Series runs one into the other, so a low-pass into a high-pass is a band-pass with two independent edges. Parallel sums them. Mid-Side puts one on the mid and one on the sides. Stereo Split puts them on left and right. Morph crossfades between them under a knob you can modulate.
Every cutoff, resonance, drive and FM amount, plus morph, dry/wet and the output gain, can be modulated. A route is a source, a destination, a bipolar depth and a curve, and the destination is offset around wherever its knob already sits, so the knob stays the centre of the motion. Cutoff depths read in octaves. Routes can target other sources too, so an LFO can bend another LFO’s rate.
Features include:
- Eight filter circuits per cell: Moog, SVF, Comb, Formant, Diode, MS-20, Resonator and a drawable Spectral
- Six routings: Off, Series, Parallel, Mid-Side, Stereo Split and Morph
- A modulation matrix where every cutoff, resonance, drive, morph and gain is a destination
- Sources can modulate other sources, so an LFO can breathe another LFO
- Orra Link 2 included: pick up to four other tracks by name, in any DAW, with no host routing
- DICE builds a complete patch from one of six recipes
- 44 factory presets across seven categories, each with a note explaining what it is for
Orra Filter is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
