Rob Jackson has released AUTranspose, available for $2.99.
Shifting the key of audio files without rendering heavy plugins is a major headache. Enter AuTranspose, an AUv3 plugin for iPadOS, iOS, and macOS. It keeps pitch-shifting simple, offering a range of \pm1 octave in semitones and fine-tuning up to \pm100 cents.
AUTranspose’s main strength is its lightweight design. You can easily drop it into compatible hosts like Logic Pro, GarageBand, or AUM. It is perfect for tweaking backing tracks to match your vocal range or adding a retro lo-fi pitch effect to your mix.
The key trade-off to keep in mind is latency. AuTranspose introduces a minor delay (around 25ms at its lowest) and displays the exact sample count on the interface. This makes it easy to manually compensate for delay while keeping your overall production setup fast and efficient.
