HoRNet Spikes MK2 is a single-band transient shaper designed to modify the attack characteristics of audio signals such as drums, percussion, and guitar picks.
The plugin features a primary Spike knob that ranges from -100% to +100%, allowing users to easily boost or soften transient attacks without setting complex thresholds.
A unique Focus EQ function provides HPF, LPF, and parametric bell filters that affect only the internal detector path, enabling precise control over which frequencies influence transient detection.
Users can select between three envelope characters—Transparent, Punchy, and Smooth—to define how the plugin reacts to incoming audio signals.
The device includes a post-shaping Drive stage offering Clean, Warm, and Dirty saturation modes, along with adaptive oversampling to minimize aliasing.
Real-time visual feedback is provided through a five-second scope, stereo meters, and a Delta monitor that allows users to isolate the changes made by the processing chain.
Spikes MK2 is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
