All The Machines have released The Remnant, available at the intro price of $19.00, increasing to $29.00 after the promotion. Coming soon to iOS.
The Remnant is a feedback-matrix drone synthesizer.
8 FM voices modulate each other through an arbitrary feedback matrix. The network topology itself is the instrument. Signal circulates, persists, and refuses to die. You create conditions for sound to persist.
When you find something you like, save it to a snapshot. Snapshots capture the entire state, voices, matrix, effects, everything, and you can glide smoothly from one to another. 13 scales keep things musical when you want them to be.
The output runs through one of four acoustic filters (Chamber, Cave, Metal, Void), and you can play individual voices from touch pads.
- Core
- 8 FM Voices with continuous waveform morphing (sine, triangle, saw, noise)
- 8×8 Feedback Matrix with topology presets (Pairs, Ring, Star, Mesh, Chain, Random)
- Touch XY Surface with 11 assignable destinations
- Behavior
- Drift Engine for organic pitch wandering
- Evolve System (5 sec – 10 min autonomous mutation: Wander, Breathe, Decay)
- Snapshots save and recall the entire sound state with glide
- Sound
- Resonant Body Filter (Chamber, Cave, Metal, Void)
- Effects: Saturate, Space, Air
- 2x Oversampling for alias-free FM
- Performance
- Play Mode with 8 touch pads and AR envelopes
- Scale-aware pitch quantization (13 scales)
- Network visualization with real-time signal flow
