Orph Release Alias

Orph have released Alias, available for $39.00. Newsletter subscribers will receive a discount  – check your inbox!

Alias by orph is a specialized audio plugin designed to provide vintage sampler and tape emulation by recreating the character and imperfections of 1980s and 1990s hardware.

The software features two primary engines, offering four distinct sampler characters inspired by classic units like the SP-1200 and MPC60, alongside twelve unique tape settings that range from clean studio reels to degraded, worn-out media.

Beyond its core engines, the plugin includes eleven effect tiles that allow users to introduce specific types of wear, such as bit-depth reduction, CD read errors, vinyl-style wow and flutter, and oxide dropouts, all without utilizing generative AI.

Alias processes audio through a 32-bit float signal path and maintains a consistent latency, providing producers with a versatile tool to add authentic lo-fi textures and historical sonic characteristics to their tracks.

Alias is available to PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU).
