What’s new in version 1.2.0:
- Post-generation modifiers: Gate, Arp, Rhythm – These apply as after-effects on the notes once the AI is done. Tighten the gate, turn a line into an arp, or rewrite the rhythm — without generating again.
- MIDI files that name themselves – Dragged-out and bookmarked MIDI now include the key and scale in the file name. Exported names are also more readable, so you can find the clip in your DAW without opening it.
- A piano roll that behaves like a DAW – Hold Shift, Ctrl/Cmd, or Alt and drag to lasso multiple notes. Velocity editing is smoother. And Ctrl/Cmd + C, X, V, A, B now work — copy, cut, paste, select all, duplicate.
- Space to play. Tab to switch – Space bar starts and stops playback. Tab jumps between the prompt MIDI and the generated MIDI view — less clicking, more listening.
- Plugin manager, rebuilt for real setups – Add multiple plugin folders and rescan them one at a time. Add All and Remove All let you dump every instrument into the picker — or clear it — in one click

- Re-Imagine on the Fly: Tweak the creativity slider to dial in how far you want the AI to push your idea, generating fresh bar-by-bar variations instantly.
- Host Your Own VSTs: You don’t have to audition melodies through a trash preset. Load Serum, Kontakt, or Omnisphere straight inside Difro to hear variations played through your actual patches.
- It Learns Your Style: Rate generated loops with a quick thumbs up or edit the notes yourself before liking them. Difro builds a local “User Model” that learns what you actually like over time.
- Seamless Export: Drag the new MIDI or a rendered WAV loop straight into Ableton, FL Studio, Logic, or Cubase.
