AGITATOR is a Max for Live device that changes your Ableton Live session tempo in response to incoming audio levels for ultimate warped sound design power. Developed by Oliver Torr & MIRA新伝統 // GLAZMO.RESEARCH & CORIOLIS LAB.
We developed AGITATOR after realizing that Ableton’s Envelope Follower couldn’t actually change a session’s BPM. AGITATOR moves the real session tempo, opening the door to self-feeding, unpredictable, Klein-bottle-twisted warping possibilities.
Controls:
- MIN BPM / MAX BPM: set the tempo range, from 20 to 999 BPM.
- GAIN: adjust detector sensitivity without changing the audio volume.
- RISE / FALL: set the envelope response times.
- SMOOTH: set tempo smoothing. Zero disables smoothing.
- ARM: enable or disable tempo control.
