Palora is a versatile, polyphonic virtual-analog synthesizer designed to marry classic subtractive workflow grit with an entirely fresh, AI-assisted approach to sound design.
Palora serves up fat, modern electronic tones using a hybrid engine built for sharp transients, deep modulation, and robust low-end. Beyond standard synthesis duties, its standout feature is utilizing an open, human-readable JSON preset structure. By feeding Segment CPH’s official prompt framework into any external AI assistant, producers can generate fully functional, custom custom patch text just by typing out a plain-language description.
Unlike most modern synths that lock their preset architecture behind closed file formats or force you into a cloud subscription ecosystem, Palora keeps things completely open and offline-friendly. There is no iLok required and no user account tracking you. Furthermore, its inclusion of a per-voice transient shaper and dedicated click layer gives electronic music producers granular control over the punch and snap of every single note.
