Empty Vessel have relessed Mora, available at the intro price of €14.95 increasing to €19.95 after the promotion.
Mora – a moment.
A pivot point, a tiny slice of time between. What went before and what is yet to come. A statement of intent, a cautious return. A spark, a first step towards. Whatever this, will, be.
mora is based on a set of samples recorded from my small Tangible Waves modular system and a Novation Summit, processed & sampled using Elektron Octatrack and Tonverk samplers. Additionally a few field recordings captured with an old Sony tape dictaphone and a Sony PCM-D50 digital recorder. A great deal of character and imperfection is present in the samples and brought out further within TAL Sampler.
As usual for my packs the samples are quite long. With this and the modulation possibilities in TAL Sampler the results are alive, expressive, dynamic instruments which avoid that inherent static, repeating aspect that can afflict sample-based instruments.
The samples are included in WAV format so you can use them in any sampler or DAW.
All presets have velocity & mod wheel mapped, some with aftertouch. All presets have the Param knobs P1 & P2 mapped to allow macro tweaking of timbre, noise, layer balance, degradation, crushing etc. on the fly without digging into the patch structure, these can also be automated in your DAW.

The patches are rusty, imperfect, liminal, melancholic, hopeful. Cinematic, dark, bright, warm, thin, analog, digital. Tired, faded, like memories. Basses, keys, drones and immersive, evolving pads.

Mora requires TAL Sampler (not included).
