GRNi Lite is a playable granular sampler that lets you drop in any audio file and immediately start turning it into lush pads, shimmering textures, or glitchy soundscapes straight from your MIDI keyboard.
GRNi Lite keeps things refreshingly straightforward. Instead of overwhelming you with endless parameters, it boils the experience down to a single sample waveform and three core controls:
- ROOT: Tells the plugin what note your sample is originally in so your keyboard plays it cleanly in tune.
- DENSITY: Controls how many grains fire per second—taking you from a sparse, crackling texture to a thick, solid cloud.
- SIZE: Adjusts how long each grain lasts. Short sizes lean into metallic, glitchy territory, while longer sizes smooth out into gorgeous, evolving pads.
Every single note you hold down grows its own independent cloud of grains, making it an incredible tool for ambient sound design, cinematic scoring, or adding unique ear candy to modern electronic tracks.
GRNi Lite is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and CLAP).
