Decent Samples have released GRAINWERK, available at the intro price of $29.00, increasing to $59.00 after the promotion.
GRAINWERK is a granular synthesis tool.
The software functions as both an instrument for playing keyboard-controlled sounds and an effect processor for transforming live or recorded audio tracks.
It utilizes a grain engine to chop audio into thousands of tiny overlapping pieces, enabling users to create evolving textures, pads, or atmospheric sounds.
Key features include pitch scattering that snaps to musical intervals, two distinct playback modes, and extensive modulation capabilities through a 10×13 matrix.
Users can sculpt sounds using an integrated effects rack that includes a multi-mode filter, bitcrusher, phaser, and tempo-synced delays.
The platform supports MPE-ready control and microtonal tuning, providing advanced flexibility for composers and sound designers.
The product includes over 90 factory presets and offers a free demo version without time limits, allowing users to test all features before purchasing the full license.
GRAINWERK is available to PC, Mac and Linux users (VST3, AU and standalone).
