KarmaStation Release KarmaBass

KarmaStation have released KarmaBass, available for $21.30.

KarmaBass synthesises a bass from scratch. No samples, nothing to download. Every control is on one screen, and each one does one thing.

If you use KarmaKick, press ON in the SIDECHAIN section and the bass ducks under every kick. No routing, no sends, no compressor on the track.

How it sounds

Two oscillators — Sine, Triangle, Saw, Square. Tune and detune the second one, then blend them.

A sub one octave down that skips the filter and the drive, so it stays clean whatever you do to the rest.

A 24 dB low-pass filter with its own envelope. Velocity opens it: play harder and it gets brighter.

Glide between held notes without restarting the attack — acid slides and 808 slides.

LFO to Filter, Pitch or Amp, free in Hz or synced to your song, from 4 bars down to 1/32, with dotted and triplet values.

Drive, Boost (the same compressor as KarmaKick) and Level. The output never goes above Level, even with everything turned up.

Watch the walkthrough video HERE.

KarmaBass is available to PC and Mac users (VST3 and AU).
