Joshua David Aquino Updates ToneRig – For IOS

Joshua David Aquino has updated ToneRig, available as a FREE download with an optional in-app purchase that unlocks the Pro version.

What’s new in version 1.4.0:

  • AUv3 settings per Snap: save and recal different hosted plug-in settings with each Snap. Turn off “Controlled by Snaps” to share settings across Snaps.
  • MIDI control for hosted AUv3 plug-ins: map parameters to footswitches and expression pedals, or use a compatible plug- in’s own MIDI Learn. Includes button toggles and pedal calibration.
  • Batch library deletion: select and delete multiple NAM captures, cabinet IRs, or reverb IRs. Delete whole NAM packs directly from their folders.
  • Cleaner Snaps view: unused Input B rows! are hidden while active parallel paths remain visible.
  • Synced delay knobs now show the selected note division.
  • Newly selected NAM captures use Calibrated output when available, otherwise Normalized. Saved presets retain their output modes.
  • Fixed preset NAM and IR loading after storage migration or restore, and improved rapid capture switching.
  • Fixed dry Input A audio after disconnecting Input B.
  • AUv3 host playback no longer starts the practice metronome automatically; external MIDI Clock transport remains supported.
  • Fixed reported bugs – Improved audio session reliability and library pack deletion.

ToneRig turns your iPhone or iPad into a responsive amp, cab, and pedalboard rig for guitar and bass. Connect a USB audio interface, load a tone, and play. No laptop required.

Built for playing, not just previewing. ToneRig runs at your audio interface’s hardware sample rate with a small buffer, keeping your sound tight and responsive.
