LUX Orchestral Brass is a professional virtual instrument library designed to provide a deep, realistic sound that complements the previously released LUX Orchestral Strings.
The library was recorded on the same professional scoring stage as LUX Orchestral Strings, ensuring a consistent acoustic space and natural orchestral positioning for both brass and string sections.
It features up to six dynamic layers recorded separately from pp to fff, allowing the instrument’s character and timbre to evolve authentically as the volume is adjusted via the Mod Wheel.
Key innovations include Auto Divisi instruments for horns, trumpets, and trombones, which automatically manage player distribution while maintaining original section sizes and enabling polyphonic legato.
The software incorporates Seamless Articulation Transitioning (S.A.T.), permitting users to shift between articulations like Legato and Sustain within a single held note for more fluid musical phrasing.
With 53 microphones used in the recording sessions, the library includes specialized bleed microphones that capture the natural resonance and interplay between brass, strings, woodwinds, and percussion.
Composers can utilize the included Ensemble Instrument, which offers ten ensemble combinations and twelve voicings, allowing for quick, intelligent orchestration of brass parts for cinematic compositions.
