Sick Noise Instruments have released TOXOBYTE, available at the intro price of €9.99, increasing to €29.99 after the promotion.
ToxoByte is a dedicated acid synthesizer by Sick Noise Instruments designed for genres like Acid Techno, Psytrance, and hard Techno.
The instrument features a classic acid oscillator with switchable waveforms, a resonant 24 dB ladder filter, authentic accent and slide behaviors, and a fully integrated 16-step sequencer for detailed pattern programming.
Key functionality includes full DAW synchronization, live MIDI transposition for real-time performance, and a built-in dirt shaper to add grit and saturated character to sound designs.
TOXOBYTE includes 20 factory presets and an intuitive interface that allows users to save unlimited custom presets and sequences directly within their DAW projects.
Features include:
- Classic Acid Oscillator — Switch between band-limited saw and square waveforms for instantly recognizable acid tones.
- Resonant 24 dB Ladder Filter — A 4-pole low-pass filter with dedicated decay envelope and adjustable ENV MOD for everything from deep squelch to wild, resonant screams.
- Authentic Accent & Slide — Accented steps deliver extra punch and filter intensity, while slide connects notes smoothly without retriggering envelopes.
- 16-Step Acid Sequencer — Program every step with independent note, gate, accent, slide, and octave controls. Note names keep your patterns easy to follow.
- Full DAW Synchronization — Follows your host tempo, transport, and bar position to keep every pattern locked to your track.
- Live MIDI Transpose — Play your MIDI keyboard to transpose running patterns in real time. Create new key changes and breakdowns without stopping the groove.
- Instant Random Patterns — Generate fresh acid sequences with a single click, always rooted in a dark minor scale.
- Built-In Dirt Shaper — Add gritty, saturated character with tanh waveshaping and automatic gain compensation.
- Live Oscilloscope — Watch your waveform respond as you shape the oscillator and filter.
- Complete Preset Browser — Browse, search, save, and delete presets. Each preset remembers the entire sound and sequencer pattern
