Tanel Teemusk has updated NoteBridge, available for $3.99.
What’s new in version 1.1.0:
- CC mapping: a new Knobs section takes a CC from a hardware knob and sends it on as another CC
- Draw how each parameter follows the knob, with straight or smooth curves
- One knob can drive several parameters each with its own curve
- Snap points to 25, 50, 75 and 100, invert a curve, and copy and paste it between rows
- 31 more built-in presets for drum apps, all in one menu
- Yellow instead of green, with a yellow icon to match
- Numbers typed on the keypad go in as you type
Play any drum app from any sequencer. NoteBridge turns the notes your hardware sends into the notes your instrument expects, learned with one tap.
Your sequencer sends one set of notes, your drum app expects another. NoteBridge sits between them in AUM and translates
Each row maps an incoming channel and note to an outgoing channel and note. Tap the ear and play a pad on your hardware to fill in the input, or add a row and set the numbers yourself. Drag a number up or down to change it, or tap it to type. Show notes as numbers or as names with octaves.
- Learn: tap, play a note, done
- New rows keep the spacing of the last one, so a kit maps in a few taps
- Notes no row maps pass through or are blocked, your choice
- Set the input or output channel of every row at once
- Panic ends every sounding note; notes held while you edit still end where they started
- Undo, swipe to delete, drag to reorder
- Save presets, share them by Mail or AirDrop, and import ones others send you
- Map Pass/Block, Panic and mapping on/off to hardware controls in the host
- Everything that isn’t a note passes through untouched
Name presets “Source -> Target” so others know what they map. Send a good one to the developer from the preset menu and it may ship as a built-in preset.
