Sveinbjorn Palsson has released Airwindows Consolidated AUv3, available as a FREE download.
Airwindows Consolidated is all 500+ free Airwindows effects in a single AUv3 plugin for iPad.
Airwindows is a legendary library of hand-crafted audio effects by Chris Johnson.
Chris releases one effect per week, funded by his patreon, which you can download for all desktop OSes from his website, Airwindows.com. With every plugin he does an intro video. Often these plugins are incremental upgrades on previous work, based on new discoveries or ideas. Chris still keeps the previous versions though for compatability, and for those who fall in love with a certain version of an effect.
Following his work has become a pastime for many, and even more appreciate his often quixotic approaches to DSP. The effects for desktop are all without Ul, they appear in your DAW looking however that DAW dresses up a plugin by default. Therefore you are forced to trust your ears. This version tries to stay faithful to that. Since ios and ios daws do not seem to have that same default ui, this plugin seeks to emulate a generic apple layout. With some enhancements for user ease.
Among those enhancements are links to both his site and his youtube videos for each effect, a choice of slider or pot control of parameters, day and night mode for your eyes, random effect, and a slew of other little tweaks and nibbles.
Many of the enhancements come from Paul Walker’s original Airwindows Consolidated, which is available through the Airwindows website and on GitHub.
This app is and will always be free and open source, you can access the code, get support and contribute on our GitHub.
