Toontrack have released Metal Machine 2 EZX, available for $89.00.
The Metal Machine 2 EZX is a new sound expansion for EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3, designed by metal producer Andy Sneap to provide a powerful and precise drum sound.
This collection includes three distinct drum kits representing the 1990s, 2010s, and 2020s, offering a wide tonal range from massive six-tom setups to razor-sharp, modern attacks.
The library features 12 snare drums, 19 cymbals, 7 kicks, 15 toms, and 4 octobans, providing a versatile palette suitable for various subgenres like traditional, progressive, and death metal.
The drum samples were recorded at Andy Sneap’s Backstage Recording Studio and performed by Carcass drummer Dan Wilding, who also contributed a foundational MIDI collection of grooves and fills.
Andy Sneap and the Toontrack sound design team crafted over 25 mix-ready presets that utilize compression, EQ, and saturation, with some incorporating layered one-shot samples for added clarity.
The expansion serves as a comprehensive companion to the original Metal Machine EZX, offering users modern production tools while maintaining the signature style established by Sneap over his career.
To utilize the Metal Machine 2 EZX, users must have a functional installation of EZdrummer 3 or Superior Drummer 3 and at least 18.5 GB of free disk space available.
Metal Machine 2 EZX requires EZdrummer/Superior Drummer.
