Supra is a hybrid granular synthesizer developed in collaboration with Algebra Within and darkInteger, aiming to provide the unpredictable energy often found in hardware synthesizers.
The synthesizer features a triangle oscillator with subtle pitch drift to emulate vintage circuits, a high-frequency FM modulator for harmonic complexity, and a granular engine that transforms sounds into evolving, pitch-shifted clouds.
It incorporates six distinct DSP modules, including an analog-drifted carrier, FM modulator, click-free granular capture, a state-variable filter, a comb filter with dynamics, and a pitch-shifting feedback delay.
Supra’s sound design architecture includes an indirect modulation matrix with two master macro hubs (M1 and M2) that allow for fluid, expressive parameter shifts, enabling interconnected tones that react dynamically to user input.
A dual randomizer system is integrated for glitch-free performance, allowing real-time patch variation and randomization of LFOs to create unexpected sonic textures.
