Creative Parade AB Release Tape Fiasco 2 – For IPadOS

Creative Pafade AB have released Tape Fiasco 2 for iPadOS, (previously desktop only), available for $19.99.

The full time-manglingand sound-design workstation now runs on iPadOS, as both a standalone app and an Audio Unit (AUv3) plugin. Same engine, same sound, rebuilt for touch.

This is not a stripped-down companion app. It is the same Tape Fiasco 2 that runs on macOS and Windows, with every engine, effect, and modulation destination intact:

  • Four time engines — Stretch (dual-grain freeze and scrub), Varispeed (tape machine with wow, flutter, tape-stop, and scratch), Stutter (beat-aligned capture-and-repeat slicer), and BendIt (circuit-bent buffer mangler).
  • A 30+ effect chain — drag to reorder across distortion, filter, resonate, modulate, delay, and reverb, plus a permanent master row with gain, 3-band EQ, pan, compressor, and soft limiter. Effects not in the chain cost zero CPU.
  • 72 modulation destinations — four modulator columns, three free-draw bezier graphs, four macro knobs, and an X/Y pad. Every parameter in the plugin is a valid target.

Everything runs at zero added latency and stays locked to the host transport, so it plays like an instrument, not a chain of processors you’re babysitting.

Bringing it to iPad meant more than shrinking the window:

  • Standalone app or AUv3 plugin. Run it on its own, or drop it into your favourite host — AUM, Logic Pro, GarageBand, Cubasis, Loopy Pro, Drambo, and other AUv3 hosts.
  • Load your own audio. Bring in a loop or sample as the sound source, or start from the built-in factory loop library.
  • Record and share. Capture the output, stop, and share or save a WAV straight from the app.
  • Ableton Link. Sync tempo and phase with everything else on your network.
  • MIDI Learn. Map a hardware controller to the performance targets, with mappings that persist across relaunches.
  • Touch-first UI. Two-finger scrolling, resizable and rotatable layouts, and touch targets tuned for fingers instead of a mouse.
  • Background audio so it keeps running when you switch apps.
