Loopmasters and Loopcloud have announced the recent addition of Psylate – Psytrance by Zenhiser.
Psytrance lives through hypnotic movement, danced for hours — a ritual as much as an event, the kind of music that moves you whether you meant it to or not. That’s the pure energy Psylate is built from, all the way through this mesmerising sample pack.
Built using classic tools like the Korg R3 for that analogue feel, then resampled, layered, modulated and reworked until nothing left sounds like it came from anywhere else, Psylate carries that unmistakable texture of something you don’t just hear — you feel it in your insides. There’s a warmth running through all the melodic content, and a genuine sense of spiritual pull to the atmospheres, driving hypnotism in equal measure and designed to keep crowds locked in for hours.
It spreads across the wider genre realm, moving between Progressive Psytrance, Goa, Full-On and Dark Psy. Driving when it needs to drive. Emotional when it needs to breathe. Hypnotic in the way only real psychedelic trance can be.
Inside, there’s a proper amount to get lost in. 559 total samples, with 232 loops covering bass, drums, leads, plucks and music loops, all built to lock into that rolling, hypnotic groove. 257 one-shots fill out the detail work, with atmospheres, claps, hats, kicks, percussion and a run of synth one-shots for building your own textures from scratch. 94 MIDI files hand you the melodic backbone to rewrite entirely, while 78 stems give you fully mixed reference points to tear apart and reassemble however you like.
If your record bag already has IONO Music, Shamanic Tales, Iboga, Nano or Spin Twist in it, you already know the world Psylate comes from. So take the preview for a spin and see where you end up.
