Stream Pro (formerly known as XStream), a comprehensive granular platform that acts as an audio effect, a sound design powerhouse, and an instrument all wrapped into one plugin.
Instead of treating granular processing as a basic delay trick, Stream Pro lets you chop any audio source into microscopic grains (1–500 ms) and manipulate them into evolving textures, thick harmonies, or playable polyphonic instruments.
Stream Pro bridges the gap between static audio manipulation and living, breathing performance tools. It features a dual-nature workflow alongside deep spatial design capabilities:
- Dual Modes (Single vs. Multi): Use Single Mode to record, overdub, and mangle live audio buffers into ambient soundscapes, or switch to Multi Mode to play your samples like a traditional polyphonic MIDI instrument with up to 8 voices and per-voice ADSR envelopes.
- 3D Spatial Granular Synthesis: Features “BOIDS” flocking algorithms where voice nodes cluster and drift in automated spatial patterns, bringing immersive movement to your mixes without tedious manual automation.
- Deep Modulation Matrix: Packed with 4 LFOs (with 7 shapes) and 16 routing slots, letting you map parameters across filters, saturation, and grain behavior for endless organic variation.
- Texturizer Effects Chain: Includes soft saturation, Moog-style lowpass/bandpass filters per voice, and a stereo delay to glue your granular clouds together.
