Hornet Plugins have released HoRNet ZeroLevel, available for €24.99. Also part of the ZeroBundle.
HoRNet ZeroLevel is an audio plugin designed to assist with the initial stage of mixing by automatically balancing track levels in a multitrack session.
Users coordinate tracks by assigning them to a specific Group ID, which allows the plugin to analyze the audio without changing the routing or acting as a bus.
The process involves playing the song to capture audio and stopping to initiate an automatic analysis, after which the plugin applies a single global gain adjustment per instance.
ZeroLevel uses a frequency-based analysis to determine gains but does not apply EQ, compression, or dynamic processing, ensuring the audio remains transparent for further mixing.
The plugin features nine shared presets and individual source offsets that allow users to refine the balance quickly without needing to re-run the learning analysis.
For effective operation, every instance in a group must have a valid result, and the plugin respects manual source type overrides if the automatic classifier makes an incorrect selection.
ZeroLevel is intended to provide a starting balance, leaving final creative decisions, tonal adjustments, and dynamic shaping to the user throughout the rest of the signal chain.
HoRNet ZeroLevel is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
