Audio Brewers have released ab Transcoder, a plugin described as “the missing piece between your Ambisonics microphone and your Stereo or Dolby Atmos mix”. ab Transcoder is currently available at the intro price if €5.00, increasing on October 2nd.
Convert any A-Format recording (i.e. the RAW recording from your Ambisonics microphone) to B-Format, with ease and without having to spend more than a couple of seconds!
ab Transcoder is a very small tool that will help you convert Ambisonics audio files from one format to another.
Whether you recorded your audio with a SoundField, Ambeo, Zoom, or any other 1st Order A-FORMAT microphone, this plugin simplifies the need to install several different plugins from different manufacturers – anything goes, in a transparent, easy, and quick manner.
The plugin was designed so that you could do your thing in a couple of seconds, and then move on to what’s important!
Simply select your Signal type INPUT and your destination OUTPUT, and ‘ab Transcoder’ will do the rest for you! That simple.
Additionally, a Mic Orientation control is also available in case your microphone was sideways or upside down at the moment of recording.
This plugin is ONLY compatible with 1st Order Ambisonics A-FORMAT and B-FORMAT signals.
ab Transcoder also comes with a ‘smart troubleshooting’ algorithm, which will check your signal chain and let you know if something is wrong with it.
ab Transcoder is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
