Acoustic Samples have released VWinds: Clarinets, the 2nd installment from the VWinds series of UVI Workstation instruments, available at the intro price of $169.00 / €149.00, increasing to $219.00 / €199.00. The offer ends November 30th.
Acoustic Samples are very excited to present the much-anticipated VWinds Clarinets. As with other VSeries instruments, everything is modeled except the sample source itself, giving complete flexibility and control whilst retaining the authentic sound of a real instrument.
Acoustic Samples sampled/modeled 2 B-flat clarinets, 2 Bass clarinets, 1 E-flat clarinet, 1 A clarinet, 1 Basset horn and 1 Contrabass clarinet, each performed by different world-class musicians. The two versions of the B-flat and Bass are separately recorded individual instruments, to offer variety of tone and colour.
Acoustic Samples have given the main control (CC1) a complete overhaul for even further realism, and this can be adjusted in the preferences. To offer even more variety of sound, we’ve also added for the first time the option to choose between modeled and real legato transitions.
Included as part of the VWinds interface is our Virtual Space Designer, giving you the ability to place your instruments anywhere in an orchestral seating plan with four microphone configurations.
VWinds features 3 different microphone positions, adjustable performance techniques such as vibrato, growl/flutter, legato transitions, round robins, micro-tuning, and even control over each harmonic. Despite the advanced editing available, our core goal has always been to make hyper-realistic instruments that are easy to use, without having to worry about multiple CCs or key-switches. VWinds Clarinets clocks in at around 100Mb per instrument (graphics and presets included).
