Just in case you do NOT want to play piano the “normal” way…
sqsl White Keys allows you to assign new semitones to white keys (CDEFGAB) on your digital piano/MIDI keyboard and play any scale using C major fingering.
Features include:
- Freely assign to each white key within octave new semitone and explore own custom scales/chords
- Generate heptatonic scales using 4 interval patterns (diatonic, melodic, harmonic major and harmonic minor), in 7 modes and root key of your choice
- Invert keyboard completely (high notes on left, low notes on right) for fun and creative inspiration
- Enjoy user-friendly hands-on interface with visual representation of key and assigned note being played
sqsl White Keys is a standalone MIDI processing app and does not produce any sounds.
sqsl White Keys does not produce MIDI notes on its own – it needs to receive notes from other MIDI device such as keyboard or sequencer and only works in fullscreen/portrait mode.
