u-he have announced the availability of the Zebralette 3 public beta, available to everyone as a FREE download. Please report any bugs to u-he, your feedback counts.
So here’s the first bit of Zebra 3. Like its predecessor, Zebralette 3 is a single oscillator plucked from the mothership and embedded within a minimal environment: The multi-stage envelope generator, LFOs, modulation matrix, delay and reverb effects are just enough to turn the oscillator into a powerful little synthesizer in its own right.
The Z3 oscillator is in a league of its own: Spline-based editing, a dynamic toolbox borrowed from vector graphic apps, various morphing options and waveform mangling algorithms, an audio engine capable of either wavetable or additive synthesis…
Zebralette 3 is also a wavetable editing tool: You can export the pure wavetable in .WAV format, which can then be loaded into your wavetable synthesizer of choice.
The first beta version of Zebralette 3 is available now from our forum at KVR. Various threads have already been set up and linked on that page, waiting for your comments, praise, critique and bug reports.
The beta is available to PC, Mac and Linux users (VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP).
