Drones moving back and forth like ripples, calm synth pads breaking like waves on cliffs, and soothing sounds shimmering through your arrangement — Baltic Shimmers adds serene textures to your music production.
Irregular tremolos from ukulele and cello, a glockenspiel, and other instruments are baked together on tape with organic field recordings from the Baltic Sea, then slowed down and further processed with external effects gear, giving you a unique scoring tool for HALion and HALion Sonic.
Most of the samples in Baltic Shimmers were recorded on tape and, after slowing down, were recorded again digitally. This process added a truly organic feel and imperfection to all the sounds and means you get the most from Baltic Shimmers by playing very long notes. In combination with clever onboard modulation, you can turn a single note into a constantly evolving sound.
Baltic Shimmers contains carefully crafted pads and drones with a truly organic feel allowing you to add unique colours and textures to your music productions. It uses acoustic and electronic instruments combined with field recordings from the Baltic Sea.
