PreSonus Release Studio One 7.1 & Cinemtic Lights

PreSonus have updated Studio One to include Cinematic Lights, available as a FREE upgrade for all Studio One Pro 7 license holders and active Studio One Pro+ members.

Our new, full-featured virtual instrument takes the spotlight in the Studio One Pro 7.1 update. Designed to push the boundaries of sound design, Cinematic Lights blends heavily processed orchestral strings and brass with synth, modular, and field recording elements, offering a unique hybrid sound palette for modern music creators.

With over 100 multi-samples, 120 layer presets, and 50 music loops, this virtual instrument brings an unparalleled level of inspiration to composers, producers, and sound designers. The intuitive user interface makes it easy to craft immersive soundscapes, whether you’re scoring a film or adding depth and emotion to your compositions.

Studio One Pro 7.1 goes beyond new sounds to deliver powerful workflow enhancements that simplify and speed up music production:

  • Impact Improvements: Say goodbye to unwanted clicks and pops with variable crossfades for looped samples. Plus, new pitch, filter, and amp envelope controls make fine-tuning a breeze.
  • Transform (Freeze) Busses to Rendered Audio: The popular “transform to rendered audio option” for audio and instrument tracks is now available for bus channels as well. Take an entire group of drum tracks plus their insert and send effects and render them into a single stereo audio track with a single click!
  • Note Editor Upgrades: Build chords faster by copying/moving note events with arrow keys, and explore the added Lydian and Locrian scales for more harmonic variety.
  • Instrument Bus Enhancements: The new Instrument busses for multi-out instruments are no longer created by default. Also, Instrument+FX presets and Musicloops created with previous versions remain unchanged when loaded. The option to create Instrument Busses for multi-out instruments by default is now available directly from the Mixer options menu.
