Vintage Vibe
This is an AUv3 compatible Uni-Vibe style plugin which can be used as a plugin with your favourite DAW such as Cubasis, Auria, Meteor or GarageBand.
The Vintage Vibe is a modulation effect capable of creating a dopplar type effect like that of the Leslie speaker as well as various shimmering and stereo widening effects. This type of effect was traditionally used on electric organ and guitars in the late 70’s, pioneered by the likes of Hendrix and Pink Floyd.
Flanger
The Flanger is a modulation effect capable of creating a range of subtle chorus to extreme flanging effects.
Flanging is an audio effect produced by mixing two identical signals together, one signal delayed by a small and gradually changing period. This produces a sweeping comb filter effect with peaks and notches in the resulting frequency spectrum. The feedback control produces a resonance effect which further enhances the intensity of these peaks and troughs.
Phaser
The Analog Phaser is a modulation effect capable of creating a range of phasing similar to traditional analog effects of old. This effect is great for creating those 80’s inspired swirling filtering effects which were often applied to keyboard and guitars.
MIDI Layers
Have you ever wanted to play multiple instruments from a single master keyboard during a live performance? Would you like to be able to set up keyboard splits, crossfade layers or create an ensemble of layered instruments? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then MIDI Layers may be your solution.
Layers allows you to create up to 12 scenes, each with up to 127 layers, spanning your entire master keyboard. These scenes allow you to seamlessly switch between various layer mappings at any time during a performance.
Each layer controls the MIDI output, which can be routed to one of MIDI Layers 16 output ports and 16 channels. So if you have 5 layers in your scene, each layer is able to divert MIDI key input to 5 destinations, allowing you to control 5 instruments from one master keyboard.
Layers can overlap, meaning you can create an ensemble of two or more instruments. Layers can also have cross fades so that you can fade from one instrument to another across a specified range. You can also control the velocity curves of a layer if you need to emphasize note velocity at a certain set of octaves.
Each layer can also be remapped so that you can target a different key range on the destination instrument. This allows you to have several single note layers that can target specific drum machine samples for instance.
You can assign a song per scene, or have several scenes containing parts of the same song. Switching scenes is simple, using the on screen scene buttons, via AU parameters, or you can even add a special control layer to a scene which can then be triggered via your master keyboard.
It is also possible to assign a Program Changes to a layer. When you switch scenes, each layer can fire off its own program change to your destination instruments.
Each scene can be assigned its own scale, which enables you to play using only the white notes so say goodbye to wrong notes.
Finally, layers can be assigned to mute groups, allowing you to quickly turn on/off groups of layers with a single key or button press.
MIDI Mixer
MidiMixer is an AUv3 plugin specifically designed for AUM which allows you to control your mix and record automation synced to AUM’s timeline. You can control up to 12 AUM channels at once and create up to 8 snapshots of the mixing desk. You can smoothly fade from one snapshot into another at the touch of a button and even record these transitions as part of the automation for your song.
Automation recording is a big part of MidiMixer, and as such can record real-time movement of controls or add them directly to the visual editor. Editor tools allow you to draw automation for each control in real time as your song plays.
MidiMixer ships with a couple of default AUM session templates that will help you quickly configure AUM and MidiMixer ready to create your new song.
MidiMixer works by sending control messages to AUM. It relies on the default settings for AUM which makes setup very quick and easy. By default, you have control over 12 AUM tracks and a single group track for overall volume. You can control AUM’s fader, pan, mute and solo settings for each of the 12 channels. We also provide a user option which allows you to send custom data to control other AUM settings (or a piece of MIDI equipment of your choice).
