MIDI Designer Pro X have updated MIDI Designer Pro X, currently FREE with optional in-app purchases to increase functionality.
What’s new in version 10.7.0:
- Introducing Auto Twerk™
- Inertial, natural movement for your controls. The system is driven by Ableton Link and allows for Link Beat Quantization. Controls continue gliding with realistic physics. Dial in your controls with adjustable deceleration (for braking) and inertial slowing with Glue Factor.
- How it works: You fling a control and it continues moving with natural momentum, just like a real object would. The movement can be synchronized to your music’s beat through Ableton Link, and you can dial in how quickly it slows down, too. See midiDR.com/twerkvid for more.
- Fixed: Misleading error message when saving layouts to iCloud Drive (iPad, iPhone)
- Sizing issues with default controls for initial layouts for new users (iPad)
- Added: a sanity checker (and fixer) for users who are stuck with the same page on both sides (iPad and Mac)
Control MIDI-enabled software and gear on iPhone, iPad, Mac with a pro-grade controller – vast library, robust performance, full customization.
MIDI Designer Pro X (MDPx) is the culmination of over a decade of continuous improvements.
In 2012, Confusion Studios launched MIDI Designer Pro, which they relaunched in 2016 as MIDI Designer Pro 2. MDP2 was the first and only professional-grade MIDI controller built natively for iOS, earning widespread critical acclaim. Since launch, Confusion Studios have released over 80 updates, greatly expanding features and functionality.
Their library of user-created content now covers over 300 MIDI targets covering a vast array of music-making gear and software. In 2024, Confusion Studios take a significant leap forward with MDPx. This release elevates the user experience to new heights on iPad and Mac — including a new, expressive theme called “Spaceship” — while advancing usability massively for iPhone users.
A new subscription model — Premium — allows even more users to use the App in their music-making and discover MIDI Designer for themselves.
