X-Files of Synths Volume 1 is the first release in a new hardware-centric series of soundsets for Xfer Serum 2, all focusing on a specific sound or manufacturer.
For the first volume we are focusing on the intriguing sounds of the competent sound of the Behringer Mini synthesizers: JT Mini (Roland Jupiter) and the JT-4000 (Roland JP-8000). To complete the circle of cloned Rolands we also included drums & percussion from the Behringer 909 / RD-9.
The JT Mini & JT-4000 were sampled and looped with a careful selection from the basic waveforms & the most popular tones, to total craziness with randomness and experimental places where the limitations of the synth sonically starts to fall apart.
The presets in the soundset were designed for three distinct types of sounds: old analog vintage, modern edm & pop, and atmospheric ambient.
