Softube have released Professor Punch-Knuckles, available at the intro price of $99.00, increasing to $129.00 after the promotion.
Softube’s Empirical Labs Professor Punch-Knuckles is a plugin created in collaboration with Empirical Labs and Dave Derr, designed to deliver high-quality ELI saturation, drawing inspiration from the Mike-E and the Distressor.
The plugin offers three distinct saturation flavors: Toasty and Crunchy, based on the Mike-E’s preamp distortion, and Distress, originating from the Distressor’s compressor circuit, providing a range of sonic possibilities.
Professor Punch-Knuckles includes tone-shaping tools like the Mode switch, which utilizes Empirical Labs’ emphasis filters to add transformer and tape-like qualities, refining the sound.
