DiscoDSP Update Bliss Sampler

discoDSP have recently released version 3.3 of Bliss sampler, currently available for $99.00. Version 3.6 is available as a FREE update for existing 2.x and 3.x customers.

New in version 3.6:

  • Automatic Sampling Feature (Standalone Only): Revolutionary audio input sampling system allowing direct capture from audio interface without requiring VST plugins. MIDI-triggered recording with configurable note ranges and velocity layers (1-128 intervals). Time-based recording with adjustable duration and tail settings for capturing complete instrument decays. Thread-safe 10-second circular buffer system for continuous audio capture at up to 192kHz sample rate. Complete post-processing pipeline: normalization, zero-crossing snap, automatic crossfade loops, and fadeout. Configurable channel modes: stereo, mono mix, mono left, mono right. Samples automatically saved to “Sampled Instruments” folder with SFZ or ZBP format export options. Support for append mode to add samples to existing programs. Full 32-bit float quality for registered users, 8-bit for demo evaluation.
  • Record Audio Feature (Standalone Only): Quick audio recording for capturing one-shot samples from audio input. Live oscilloscope display showing real-time waveform with automatic saturation when exceeding 0dB. Automatic zone creation with stereo audio, OneShot loop mode, and C4 MIDI mapping.
  • Plugin Sampling Improvements: Added “Root at First Key” option to set root note at the beginning of key range. Extended velocity intervals range from 1-12 to 1-128 for ultra-detailed velocity mapping. Optimized dialog layout with consolidated memory estimation and improved space utilization. Fixed velocity intervals logic to use layer-based counting where interval value equals number of velocity layers. 16-bit quality restriction for plugin sampling in demo mode, 32-bit float for registered users.
  • Cross-Platform File Association Support: Automatic file association for Bliss native formats (.zbp programs, .zbb banks) on all platforms. File association for sampler formats (.sfz, .sf2, .sbk, .exs, .akp, .xrni, .nki) and audio formats (.wav, .aiff, .flac, .ogg, .mp3, etc.). Double-clicking supported files now launches Bliss standalone and loads content automatically.
  • Sample Editor Enhancements: Added gain increase/decrease operations and octave shift commands (+-12 semitones). Added MIDI output control and channel routing for standalone build. Fixed key mapper zone display and rendering with proper thread safety. Added intelligent note range combo box filtering with SHIFT key override.
  • User Interface Refinements: Converted Engine Quality menu to hierarchical submenus on macOS. Disabled audio input mute warning for standalone build. Fixed wave display position tracking for RubberBand pitch shift mode.
