Kai Aras has released an update to Agonizer, available at the intro price of $14.99, increasing to $29.99 after the promotion. The iOS version is currently available $9.99 with optional in-app purchases.

Designed in close collaboration with YouTuber and synth bass expert Jakob Haq of haQ attaQ, Agonizer is a mean bass machine focused on delivering deep, dirty and wobbly bass and lead sounds. From classic drum n bass inspired tones to heavily modulated modern sounds, Agonizer puts serious bass-crafting power at your fingertips.
Built around Wavetable Synthesis, the synth engine features a pair of wavetable oscillators with 40+ wavetables, morphing capabilities, and cross modulation. The dedicated “Mangle” section includes pre-filter drive, bit crush, lift, and push controls for extensive sound sculpting before the virtual analog ladder filter shapes the final tone.
At the heart of Agonizer’s dynamic sound capabilities is the “Wobulator” – a powerful sequenced modulator specifically designed for creating rhythmic modulations and evolving bass patterns. Whether you’re after subtle movement or wild, complex bass wobbles that define modern electronic music genres, the Wobulator delivers. Additionally, Agonizer includes a key and tempo sync-able LFO as well as a standard ADSR and one variable slope AD envelope.
The intuitive modulation system allows you to modulate almost any parameter with up to 12 sources, easily managed right from the main screen. A dedicated mod matrix provides an overview of all active modulations, while the unique X-Ray mode shows real-time display of modulations at their corresponding UI controls.
For expressive control, Agonizer supports MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) controllers in single channel mode, compatible with devices like ROLI Seaboard, Linnstrument, Haaken Continuum, and Expressive E Osmose. The synth includes high-quality stereo effects including vintage chorus and digital delay, both voiced to complement bass sounds without muddying the mix.
