Loopmasters and Loopcloud have announced the recent addition of Dubmatix Presents Reggae Dubwize by Renegade Audio.
Straight from the studio vault of a two-time Juno Award-winning reggae and dub producer, Reggae Dubwise is a landmark sample pack built from over 25 years of analogue craftsmanship, live recording sessions, and a genuine love for the music.
What makes this pack distinctive is that a significant portion of its sounds comes directly from Dubmatix’s personal recording vault, including sessions from the album ReWired, which featured Lone Ranger, Hempolics, Exile Di Brave, Duane Stephenson, Sr. Wilson, Rootswords, Barry Ashworth of The Dub Pistols, Lasai, and more. The pack includes both programmed and live performances, providing a wide range of options for creating your own music, whether you’re producing roots reggae or modern styles.
Every loop in this pack comes in both an original version and a fully processed dub version. The dub versions were not batch-processed—each one was crafted individually using a five-stage, analogue-inspired dub chain:
- King Tubby Filter / Echo & Spring Reverb — the same signal path recreated by Alborosie, honouring the original studio hardware.
- Mu-Tron Bi-Phase (plugin emulation) — the phaser famously used by Lee “Scratch” Perry.
- Dub Filter — for deep, rolling frequency sweeps.
- LFO — adding organic movement and pulse.
- Soundtoys Echo — rich, musical tape-style delay.
The result is five classic dub effects—echo, reverb, phaser, filter, and LFO—applied with the intuition of someone who has spent decades immersed in the genre. No two loops sound the same.
The loops span 66–152 BPM across a wide range of keys and moods. Compatible with all major DAWs, this pack is ideal for reggae, dub, electronic, and hybrid productions.
