Aaron Rutledge has updated Tweakbench Studio, available for:
- Desktop version – $70.00 (usually $200.00)
- iOS version – FREE with optional in-app purchases that unlock instruments and features.
What’s new in version 4.0.261019:
- New: Throb, a tempo-synced rhythm shaper. Drawn curves drive volume, filter and pan, synced to the host or fired by MIDI notes and audio transients, with sidechain support.
- Updates across the bundle:
- Percent and frequency readouts show clean whole numbers
- Shrapnel: factory presets rebuilt on full 4-bar breaks that lock to the host tempo
- Looms: smoother Sustain, working Reverb Size and Glide, and Seq Length sets the steps per cycle
- Padawan: smooth Chorus Delay, and bar-synced LFOs restart correctly after a time-signature change
- Arsenal: no aliasing at lower sample rates
- Obstacle: exact triplet rates, and in MIDI mode any note opens the gates
- Ritual: chords play every note at its own pitch, and Sync hard-syncs OSC2
- Fixes and polish for Bastion, Cobweb, Dropout, Grumblebum, Maelcum, Pudding, Sonidera, Tapeworm and more
Tweakbench has recently made a major comeback. After nearly 20 years of being “legacy” 32-bit software, the entire suite was rewritten in C++ and relaunched in December 2025 for modern 64-bit systems.
Tweakbench Studio brings the full collection of Tweakbench instruments and effects to iOS as AUv3 plugins.
