Reflex Audio Release Reflex Limiter – A FREE Download

Reflex Audio have released Reflex Limiter, available as a FREE download.

The Reflex Limiter is designed to transparently control the peaks in your signal, while remaining light enough on CPU that you can use it multiple times in your project.

The plugin employs a fast-acting look-ahead compressor in series with a clipper. The compressor alone does not necessarily limit peaks, but it reduces workload for the clipper and allows for a cleaner sound.

The device can also be pushed hard and made to produce crunchy distortion on individual tracks or buses.

Features include:

  • -6db to +18db Pre-Gain
  • Compressor and clipper can be independently deactivated (note that signal peaks may exceed the threshold if clipping is inactive)
  • Auto Ceiling option sets the output threshold relative to your signal peaks, so that the Ceiling dial now controls how many decibels are removed from peaks—regardless of incoming level
  • “O/S” button activates 2x oversampling (if clipping is activated, a backstop clipper will also be applied after downsampling in order to catch any new peaks introduced by the linear-phase antialiasing filter)
  • Optional Matched-LUFS output for A/B testing or for using the device as a LUFS-neutral effect
  • Left & Right channel processing is 100% unlinked

Reflex Limiter is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
