Remaincalm Release GLOSS – A FREE Download

Newcomers remaincalm have released GLOSSS, available as a FREE download. They have also launched PARANOIA and GOSSAMER, each available with a 20% discount subject to mailshot sign up.

GLOSS is remaincalm’s ‘tiny enhancer’ – a free audio plug-in designed to add sheen, space and texture to synths, acoustic guitar, and vocals.

remaincalm have modelled a pair of vintage “string synth” chorus circuits – a deep and rich quad-line circuit from a rare late-70’s Japanese flagship synth, and an early-70’s European circuit that thry’ve tweaked for extra grit and character. These can be freely crossfaded and have dramatic tone controls, allowing for a wide range of sounds.

Following the chorus is a dense reverb optimized for synth pads. The reverb control sweeps through a range of reverb parameters, from a medium room to a chorused synthetic cathedral.

Both of these are tweaked versions of some of the many modules in GOSSAMER, the ultimate modulation processor for unique synth sounds.

Features include:

  • A warm ensemble chorus effect, crossfadeable through two classic ’70s-inspired models – one a quirky take on a widely-cloned icon, the other derived from a rare flagship synth.
  • A simple one-knob reverb to give additional space and vibe to your sounds.
  • A comprehensive set of presets.
  • A simple but powerful operating model: every plugin control is always visible on the plugin surface, and control ranges have been meticulously optimized for ease of use, and extreme, creative yet usable sounds.

GLOSS is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
