Sixth Sample have released Aurbit, available at the intro price of $23.77, increasing to $33.95 after the promotion.
Aurbit is a modulation effect suite with 12 styles of chorus, phaser, and flanger. Inspired by classic hardware and refined for modern production, it delivers a wide variety of modulation flavours in a compact, reliable toolset. With all the essentials in one place, Aurbit makes it easy to set up the right effect for any sound, fast.
Aurbit gives you chorus, flanger, and phaser—each with four styles that share a consistent character across all three effects. Style 1 is clean and balanced, Style 2 is dark and thick, Style 3 is sparse and characterful, and Style 4 is dense and bright. This makes it easy to switch between effect types while keeping the same flavour and quickly find the version that best fits your track.
To avoid low-end smear modulation effects can often cause, Aurbit offers a Clean knob with two dedicated modes. Low-Cut mode removes low frequencies to keep the results bright and clean, while Low-Mono mode keeps everything below a chosen point at the center to keep your bass focused while the effect adds movement on top.
The Heat knob combines saturation and compression for more presence and character, designed from the ground up to complement the included effects. From gentle harmonics to full-on distortion, it’s an easy way to make the results cut through the mix without extra processing.
In many modulation effects, the results change depending on when you press play in your DAW, so the sound is never quite the same twice. Aurbit avoids this by always keeping its modulation phase locked with the host, making the motion consistent and predictable. With the Phase slider, you can change the modulation starting point to match Aurbit’s movement just the right way with your music.
