Wire Grind have released Unagated 2, available at the intro price of $26.00, increasing to $55.00 after the promotion. The offer ends May 26th.
Unagated, the unrelenting creative gating effect. Features include selectable envelope shapes, a click-suppression algorithm (for clicks caused by short attack/release times), special time-based envelope controls, and temp-syncing for all time-based parameters.
Unagated has four gain envelop shapes: linear, s-curve, arched, and scooped. Choose one for the attack, and another for the release.
Noise gates can produce undesirable clicking sounds when rapidly opening and closing. With Unagated’s “suppress clicking” feature, clicks are virtually eliminated. No look-ahead needed!
Delay the onset of the attack envelope and shorten the duration of notes with “Delay Attack” and “Force Release.” Use along with “Range” to alter the punchiness of drums. Modify rhythmic texture using “Hold Closed” and “Skip Beats.”
Ducking changes the functionality of most other controls. These controls are automatically relabeled and rearranged in the interface.
All time-based controls can be tempo-synced. There is no separate menu for dotted and triplet notes. Instead, all notes are listed together as fractional whole notes.
Unagated features also include side chaining, hysteresis control, ducking, strong trigger signal filtering, look-ahead, independent/linked channel processing, and surround sound/multi-channel support. You can combine different channel formats for the input, output, and sidechain. The trigger-signal scope has an adjustable scroll time that range from 0.25s to 20.0s.
Ungated 2 is available to PC users (VST3).
