Duck 2 is the ultimate tool for side-chaining and creative volume shaping.

The powerful multi-segment envelope lets you draw a precise volume curve onto your audio. Bass clashing with your kick? Simply carve out the exact shape you need – no more fiddly track automation and compressor setups. Lock it to the beat like an LFO, or trigger it from other elements in the mix.

With Duck’s rapid workflow, powerful multiband mode, and hundreds of presets to get you started, you’ll never want to produce without it again.

Ducking, often called sidechaining, is a popular technique for clear, punchy mixes.

It involves briefly reducing (or ducking) the volume of one sound to make room for another – essential if they are competing for space in the mix. Traditionally this was achieved using a side-chained compressor, but envelope-based tools have grown in popularity in recent years due to their precision and ease of use.

Duck 2 is specifically designed around envelope-based ducking, with a time-saving interface and a range of professional features such as multiband operation. Check out the video to find out what Duck 2 can do for your mix.

It doesn’t stop at ducking either – Duck is a versatile tool with a wide range of creative uses!

Bring pads, guitars and synths to life with rhythmic gating patterns. Unsync the LFO and use it like a flexible tremolo. Trigger it from the audio input and it becomes a multiband envelope shaper – perfect for cleaning up that noisy kick tail, or fine-tuning the decay of that chord stab.

Get creative, and you’ll discover a range of leftfield sound design effects. You can even trigger it from MIDI and use it like a synth’s ADSR envelope, complete with velocity sensitivity.

Duck 2 is available to PC and Mac users (VST3, AU and AAX).
